Peanut Butter Cups
 

 

1  6 oz. pkg (1 cup) semisweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup milk chocolate chips

1/2 cup chunky peanut butter

2 Tbsp chopped peanuts (optional)

paper baking cup liners (makes 8 cupcake size or 16 mini cupcake size)

Place paper liners in muffin pans

In a small saucepan heat combined chocolate pieces over low heat, stirring constantly, until melted. Remove saucepan from heat.

In another small saucepan heat peanut butter over low heat until melted. Remove from heat

Pour about 1 Tbsp melted chocolate into each regular size paper bake cup - or 1/2 Tbsp into mini bake cup. Chill about 5 minutes or until chocolate is firm.

Pour about 1 Tbsp melted peanut butter into each regular size paper bake cup - or 1/2 Tbsp into mini bake cup. Chill about 5 minutes more or until peanut butter is firm

Pour the remaining chocolate even over the peanut butter layer in each cup, spreading the chocolate to cover the peanut butter. Sprinkle each with chopped peanuts.

Chill another 10 minutes or more until firm.

Store tightly covered in the refrigerator.


Comment: These are great to take to work during the Christmas holiday season.   They're better than Reece's so if you don't take them to work, you'll be in danger of eating them all at once!
